Claude training for teams: formats and pricing

Claude training for a UK team runs from £2,500 for a team day up to £5,995 for leadership-level training, depending on format and depth. The main formats are self-paced online, a one-day live workshop, and an ongoing programme that embeds the habit over weeks. Which one fits depends on how much you need it to stick.

Formats

The three formats, and who each suits

Self-paced online courses

Cheapest, and fine if one or two people want the basics. The catch is that most people start a self-paced course and never finish it, so very little reaches your actual work. Good for curiosity, weak for real adoption.

A one-day live workshop

The common middle option. A trainer takes your team through Claude in a day, live, on-site or online. It works far better than self-paced because it's interactive and you can ask about your own work. The risk is the week after: without follow-up, a good day fades.

An ongoing programme

Training plus follow-up over a few weeks, built around your real tasks, so the habit survives past the first session. Costs more up front and returns the most, because the whole point of training is that people still use it in month three.

Pricing

What does Claude training cost in the UK?

Prices vary by provider type. Large training platforms sell scheduled Claude courses, often per seat, on fixed public dates: convenient, and generic, because the content can't be about your business. Specialists and Claude Partners price per engagement and train on your real work, which is usually where adoption actually lands. Solo trainers sit in between on price and vary widely on depth.

As a worked example, our own Claude training is priced per group rather than per seat. All prices exclude VAT.

For comparison, a large UK provider currently charges £1,495 per delegate for a one day Claude course. For twenty people that is £29,900 against £3,750 for our Corporate Day. Published per delegate rate, correct at August 2026.

Per group rather than per seat matters for an SME: you train the whole team for one price instead of paying a ticket each. Every day includes the scoping call, the example built from your data, and the day 30 follow up.

What matters

What actually makes Claude training stick?

The format and the price matter less than one thing: are people trained on their own work?

Generic training, however polished, doesn't transfer. People watch a demo, nod, and go back to their inbox. Training on the actual job they do every week is what turns into a habit. That, plus teaching the data line as part of the training so safe use becomes automatic, is the difference between a nice afternoon and a team that's faster in month three.

It's also worth asking who's in the room. A senior practitioner who uses Claude on live work daily teaches it very differently from someone reading a deck.

Choosing

How to choose

  • Do they train on your work, or run a generic syllabus?
  • Is it a Claude Partner or specialist, or a general IT-training catalogue?
  • Does anything survive the session: follow-up, a playbook, a habit?
  • Do they teach safe use and the data line as part of it?
  • Per group or per seat? For a whole team, per group is usually better value.

Tell us what your team does and we'll recommend the format and price that fits, with no upsell.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does Claude training cost in the UK?

For a team it runs from £2,500 for a team day up to £5,995 for a leadership strategy day, depending on format and depth. Per-group pricing, rather than per seat, is usually better value for a whole team.

Which Claude training format is best?

For real adoption, a live session on your own work, ideally with follow-up, beats a self-paced course. Self-paced is fine for basics. Ongoing programmes return the most because the habit sticks.

How long does Claude training take?

A workshop is typically one day. An ongoing programme runs over a few weeks so the skills embed. Because good training uses your real work, teams often start applying it the same week.

Do you train on Claude or ChatGPT?

We focus on Claude, because for most business writing, analysis and reasoning work it's the stronger tool. We cover how to pick the right tool for a given job too.

Can you train leaders as well as staff?

Yes. We run a separate Leadership and AI Strategy Day for up to 8 senior leaders on what to back, what to watch, and how to set AI rules for the wider business.

Is Claude Cowork training priced the same?

Yes. The Claude Cowork day runs the same shape and the same prices: £2,500 for up to 10 people, £3,750 for up to 20, both exc VAT.
